# What’s new: the changelog

## See what's new in Chief

Chief ships updates often. The **Latest Changes** changelog is where you can read about new features, improvements, and fixes as they go live, so you always know what changed. Have an idea for what should ship next? [Send feedback](/help/help-feedback-whats-new/submitting-feedback-or-reporting-a-bug).

## Open Latest Changes

1. Find the **🎉 Latest Changes** button in the [navigation bar](/help/getting-started/the-chief-interface-a-quick-tour).
2. Click it.
3. Wait for the changelog panel to open.
4. Scroll through the entries, newest first, to see what shipped.

## Open Latest Changes from your account menu

1. Click your **account avatar** in the navigation bar to open the [account menu](/help/account-settings/managing-your-profile).
2. Click **Latest Changes** in the menu.
3. Wait for the changelog panel to open.

  ℹ️ **Good to Know:** A small badge appears on the Latest Changes button when there are updates you haven't seen yet. Open the changelog and the badge clears.

## FAQ

  <Accordion title="Where is the Latest Changes button?">
    It's the 🎉 icon in the navigation bar. You can also open it from your account menu under **Latest Changes**.

  <Accordion title="The changelog button has a dot on it. What does that mean?">
    The dot is an unread badge: there are new updates you haven't opened yet. Click the button to read them, and the badge goes away.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I clicked Latest Changes but nothing opened. What should I do?">
    The changelog can take a moment to load. Wait a second and click again. If it still doesn't open, reload the page and try once more. On very narrow screens the widget may be hidden — the same as [the Get Help widget](/help/help-feedback-whats-new/getting-help-in-chief) — so widen your window or use a desktop screen.
