# Changing appearance and zoom in the Live Sessions App

> Choose a light or dark Live Sessions App theme and zoom the app's full display in or out.

You can choose how the macOS Live Sessions App looks and zoom its full display in or out. The app saves your appearance and zoom choices for future launches.

## Change the Live Sessions App appearance

Use either of these paths in the macOS app:

* Press **Cmd-,** or open **Chief** › **Settings…**. Under **Appearance**, choose **Auto**, **Light**, or **Dark**, then click **Done**.
* Open **View** › **Appearance**, then choose **Auto (System)**, **Light**, or **Dark**.

**Auto** follows your Mac's current system appearance. Your choice also applies to the app's [automatic meeting prompt](/help/meetings-live-sessions/automatic-meeting-detection).

## Zoom the Live Sessions App display

Open **View** in the macOS menu bar and choose:

* **Zoom In** to make the full app interface larger.
* **Zoom Out** to fit more information on screen.
* **Reset Zoom** to return to the default size.

You can also use these keyboard shortcuts:

* **Cmd-+** or **Cmd-=** — zoom in.
* **Cmd--** — zoom out.
* **Cmd-0** — reset zoom.

The app changes zoom in 10% steps, supports 50% through 300%, and remembers the selected level after you close it. Zoom changes the app's display only; it does not change [transcript exports](/help/meetings-live-sessions/copying-downloading-sharing-transcripts) or the display of a [watcher's browser view](/help/meetings-live-sessions/sharing-joining-a-live-session).

    **Auto** follows the appearance selected in macOS and changes when your system changes. **Light** and **Dark** keep the app in the selected theme regardless of the system setting.
