Zoom no longer connects directly to Chief
Chief no longer offers a Zoom integration or automatically syncs Zoom transcripts and chat logs. To bring a Zoom meeting into Chief, capture it live with the Chief Live Sessions App or upload a transcript after the meeting.Capture a Zoom meeting live
- Install and pair the Chief Live Sessions App.
- Open Zoom and join your meeting.
- In Chief, choose the Project where the session should be stored and click Start Live Session.
- Keep the app running while you meet. Chief captures your microphone and system audio and builds the transcript in real time.
Add an existing Zoom transcript
If Zoom already produced a transcript, download it from Zoom and upload the existing transcript in the Chief Live Sessions App. Chief creates a Live Session from the file so you can review its summary, decisions, and action items or start a task from it. Uploading a transcript processes the words in the file. It cannot recover audio, Zoom chat messages, screenshots, or other context that the file does not contain.FAQ
