Pairing connects the app to your account
Pairing links the Chief desktop app on your computer to your Chief web account, so your Live Sessions sync. You do it once per device with a pairing code.Pair a device
- In the web app, go to Settings › Devices.
- Click Generate pairing code. Your code appears under Your pairing code; use Copy if you want it on your clipboard.
- Open the Chief app on your computer (find it in your Applications folder).
- Paste the code into the box in the app.
Manage and revoke devices

- Find the device in the list.
- Click Revoke.
- Confirm. Revoking signs that device out immediately; you can pair it again later with a new code.
ℹ️ Good to know: You need to be signed in to manage devices. Signed-out users are prompted to sign in first.
Updating the app
Keep the desktop app current so capture keeps working. The app checks for updates automatically and installs them the next time you restart it — you don’t need to manually re-download anything.FAQ

Make sure you’re pasting the current code (not an expired one), and that you generated it while signed in to the right account. Generate a fresh code and try again.
