Where your profile lives

Your profile details appear in the account menu. Click your avatar at the bottom-left of the sidebar to open it. The header shows your name and current Organization. With one Organization, it also shows your email address when that differs from your name. With more than one, your email is the first line of the Organization list that opens from the header. You can change your name in Settings → General. Your email address is read-only, and there is no profile-photo upload control in the app today.

What you can do from the account menu

  1. Click your avatar (at the bottom-left of the sidebar) to open the account menu.
  2. Review your name and current Organization at the top of the menu. With one Organization, your email appears there too when it differs from your name.
  3. Click Settings to open General settings, where you can change your name, language, User Mode, and other preferences.
  4. If you own an Organization, click Billing to view or change its plan. Otherwise, open the Command Center, choose Credits & Plans, and read the Your plan card for your personal plan and available credits.

Switch organizations from the account menu

If you belong to more than one Organization, select the account-menu header that shows your name and current Organization. A list opens beside the menu with your email at the top, then your Organizations, with a check next to the current one. Select another Organization to move your current context there. If you belong to more than eight, See all organizations… at the bottom opens the full list. The switcher is not shown when your account belongs to only one Organization. Organization Owners also see direct menu rows for Billing, Organization, and Invite members. These rows open the corresponding pages for the Organization you own. Use Organization to manage its settings, or Invite members to open the member-management page.
ℹ️ Good to Know: If your account belongs to an organization, changing your name also changes how you appear as a speaker in Live Session transcripts.

Change your name

  1. Click your avatar, then click Settings.
  2. Stay on the General tab and find Your name.
  3. Enter the name you want other people to see, then click Save.
Your new name appears in the account menu and identifies your speech in Live Session transcripts.

FAQ

You must be signed in to see your profile. If you only see Log in and Sign up buttons in the menu, sign in first, then reopen the menu by clicking your avatar.
Open Settings → General, update Your name, and click Save. The button becomes available after you enter a non-empty name that differs from the saved one.
There is no photo upload in the app today. Chief shows your initials or a default avatar.
