What you’ll see when you go offline

A banner appears at the top of the screen reading You’re offline, with the note Submissions are paused — your draft is saved. Whatever you’ve typed in the prompt bar stays exactly where it is. If you submit a prompt while offline, it doesn’t disappear — it’s queued. The prompt shows a pill that reads Will send when you reconnect. You can click Cancel on that pill if you change your mind.

What happens when you reconnect

  1. As your connection comes back, the banner changes to Reconnecting…
  2. Once you’re back, it turns green and shows Back online, then disappears.
  3. Any prompt you queued sends automatically — you don’t have to resubmit it.
ℹ️ Good to Know: Your draft and any queued prompt are kept on your device, so a brief network blip won’t cost you the prompt you were writing.

FAQ

No. The offline banner confirms “your draft is saved.” Your text stays in the prompt bar; just wait for the Back online banner and send it.
No. The prompt is queued with a Will send when you reconnect pill and goes out automatically once you’re back online. If you no longer want it sent, click Cancel on the pill.
Chief tries to reconnect to the in-progress response — you’ll see a “Reconnecting…” state. Many responses keep generating on Chief’s side and reappear once you’re back. If the connection can’t be restored, resend your prompt.
