Running low, or just want a bigger buffer? You can top up your credits anytime. Refills are processed securely through Stripe, and on a paid plan every refill comes with a bonus.

Refill your credits

  1. Open the pricing page. You can get there from Settings → Billing by selecting Refill Now, or from the “Out of credits” message by selecting Refill Credits.
  2. In the Explore column, find the “Buy additional credits as needed” field.
  3. Type a dollar amount, or use the up/down arrows to adjust it. The minimum is 10andthemaximumis10** and the maximum is **100,000.
  4. Read the line below the field — it shows exactly how many credits you’ll receive for that amount, including your plan bonus.
  5. Select the Refill Credits button (coin icon).
  6. You’re sent to Stripe checkout. Enter your payment details and confirm.
  7. After payment, Chief returns you to where you were and shows a confirmation that your credits were added.
💡 Tip: Refills cost roughly $1 per 1,000 base credits. On Pro you get a 15% bonus and on Power User a 25% bonus on top — so the same dollar amount buys more credits on a higher plan.

If you’re not signed in

If you try to refill as a guest, Chief asks you to create an account or sign in first, then continues the refill you started. Your chosen amount is carried through.

FAQ

10istheminimumrefill.Increasetheamounttoatleast10 is the minimum refill. Increase the amount to at least 10 — the field shows an error until you do. The maximum is $100,000.
Credits are added through a Stripe webhook that can trail the redirect by a few seconds. Chief automatically refetches your balance when you return and keeps checking briefly. If the new balance still hasn’t appeared after a minute, refresh the page or re-check Settings → Billing.
The credits line under the input already includes your plan bonus (15% on Pro, 25% on Power User), so the credited total is higher than the base $1-per-1,000 rate. Check that you’re reading the credits figure, not the dollar input.
