Some prompts take a while, including deep research and big reports. You can leave the task while Chief continues generating, then track it from the notification bell.

Leave a task running

While a response is generating, you can switch to another task, open another tab, or move to a different Project. The response keeps generating on Chief’s side. The sidebar bell pulses while work is active. Open it and look under In progress to return to a running task.

Return when the response is ready

  1. Click the bell in the sidebar.
  2. When the prompt finishes, its entry moves out of In progress and Chief adds a Your response is ready notification.
  3. Select the notification to reopen the completed task.

Use Mark all read in the panel to clear unread indicators. Click View all to open the full Notifications page, where you can load older entries.
